On Tuesday 19 February Arcadis ran a transport and infrastructure workshop at Huncoat Primary School which involved an invited number of residents from across Huncoat, local Councillors and officers from both Hyndburn BC and Lancashire County Council.  This event provided the Arcadis team with the opportunity to have a more in-depth conversation about transport and infrastructure issues raised by residents during the November consultations on the Huncoat masterplan.

We felt that having an invited audience was the best approach to identify, discuss and capture specific issues relating to where people live in Huncoat rather than hold an open meeting.  Residents who participated in this event provided an invaluable insight into issues across the geographical spread of Huncoat which will help with development of the masterplan for Huncoat.

Another workshop is planned for Wednesday 6 March which will cover green infrastructure and sustainability.  This will be held at Huncoat Primary School commencing at 6pm and concluding at 7:30pm.  Again, it will allow the Arcadis team to have a more in-depth conversation regarding issues raised by residents during the November consultations.

As this is another workshop event, Arcadis are looking to limit places up to a maximum of 30 residents from across Huncoat.

If the number of residents interested in attending this event is oversubscribed then the Council in conjunction with Arcadis will look to invite 30 residents who best represent the geographical spread of the village.
