Huncoat Garden Village was chosen as one of fourteen pilot testing areas in England to test out the Government’s new National Model Design Code guidance. Hyndburn Council used the funding associated with this to develop a draft Huncoat Design Code. The Code was informed by community engagement with Huncoat residents, alongside landowners, developers and others such as Lancashire County Council, the Woodland Trust and other Council services. The draft Huncoat Design Code will be available soon.
